ONTOLOGY OF WAR IN THE EXISTENTIAL MODES OF VASYL ANDRUSHKO'S POETRY

Abstract

Purpose. This article is devoted to analysing the ontology of war in the existential modes of Vasyl Andrushko's poetry. The study focuses on ident-

?fying the existential and neomythological models that structure his poetic discourse, forming a unique artistic system that combines corporeal iconotropism, object metaphysics, and intermedial interaction. Based on the analysis of individual poems, it is argued that object details (bone, clay, metal, urban spaces) function as cognitive emblems that model the experience of war not only as a historical or political phenomenon, but as an ontological extreme situation.

Research methodology. The study uses a system of hermeneutic, structural, and phenomenological methods. The author relies on the scientific methods of semiotics and psychoanalysis and uses the methodology of mythological criticism and literary cognitive studies. This is due to the specificity of the study, its object and subject. Results. The article emphasises the interaction of existential meanings (A. Camus, K. Jaspers) and mytho-

?ogical structures (archetypes of father, mother, child; the vertical axis of ‘life-death’) that form the complex symbolic-semiotic space of the poetic text. Particular attention is paid to the graphic organisation of Vasyl Andrushko's poems – free verse fragmentation, iconic strophics, and ekphrasis vision.
