Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is the docx document file format
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.

General requirements to the papers

When preparing manuscripts to the submission to the editorial office of the "Precarpathian Bulletin of Schevchenko Scientific Society. Word", the following rules should be observed:

1) the article should contain a brief introduction, the formulation of tasks (problems), and the presentation of new results obtained by the author (co-authors). Retelling of known facts, references to unpublished works are not allowed.

2) main structural elements of the article:

UDC -code of universal decimal classification

Title: A clear and concise title for the article (preferably 10–12 words).

Information about the author(s): Full name, academic degree, place of work/study and its address, ORCID, and email address for each author, for example:

Abstract: 1,800 characters in Ukrainian and English: describes the relevance, aim and main results.

Keywords: 5–8 words or phrases reflecting the subject matter.

Introduction: Relevance of the research, analysis of previous work (literature review), formulation of the aim and objectives.

Main Body:

Methods and techniques: description of the apparatus.

Results and Discussion: theoretical statements, their proofs.

Conclusions: The findings of the study,.

3) he article should be written in Ukrainian or English. It does not exceed 20 pages. 

 4) references to the used source are given in alphabetical order and are made in accordance with the requirements of the international bibliographic standard APA (According to the seventh edition (2020)).
In the APA reference list, the writer should provide the author, year, title, and source of the cited work in in alphabetical list of references. If a reference is not cited in the text, it should not be included in the reference list. The reference format varies depending on the document type (e.g., journal article, edited book chapter, blog post, webpage), but broadly speaking always follows the same pattern of author, date, title, source. If the source is undated, the abbreviation n.d. (no date) is used.

If the paper is written in English, then each reference item published in non-Latin alphabet must be translated in English, e.g.

More details on the requirements regarding the order of references to the source in the text of the article can be found in the resource: Appendix 2  (recommended reading)
If the reference is not in English, it should be indicated in parentheses, for example, if the reference is in Ukrainian, it should be noted: (in Ukr.)

To ensure compatibility with the international DOI system, it is advisable to check References for DOI identifiers. To do this, one must first copy the text References (without numbering!), go to the website https://search.crossref.org/references, paste the copied text in the field "Match references to DOIs using Crossref Metadata Search fuzzy matching" and perform the "Match to DOIs" operation. If DOIs are found for some items, they should be checked (visit them) and, if correct, added as an Internet link in the form of "DOI:". If the item is available online but does not have a DOI, and it has a URL that will work, give the URL. Do not give a URL that will not work. If the resource is available on the Internet but does not have a DOI and it has a URL that will work, be sure to provide the URL (active).

4) оn a separate page, you must indicate the author's name, co-authors, scientific degree, academic rank, position (at the end of each issue of the journal, we publish information about the authors).

Electronic variant of the article should meet the following requirements:

1. Article is typed in Microsoft Office Word 2007/365 Editor on the B5 format white paper (182х257 mm), margins (mm): upper – 20, lower – 10, internal – 30, external – 20. Article files with the .doc extension that contain formulas will not be accepted.

2. Main text is typed in the way as follows:

2.1.“Usual” font style, font Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 12, indent – 0.75 cm, line pitch – 1 cm. 

2.2. Typing plan:

UDC (Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 12 indentless, text alignment – left).

Article title (Arial (Cyr), font size 12, bold, in words, indentless, text alignment – centre, interval top and bottom – 9 pt). 

Initials, author’s surname (and co-authors’) (Arial (Cyr), fonts size 12, bold, indentless, alignment – centre). Responsible author should be marked with asterisk.

Title of organization, its full mail address, e-mail (Times New Roman (Cyr): fonts size 12, italic, indentless, alignment – centre, interval bottom – 9 pt). 

2.3. Intervals are not used in the text except for article subsections (subsections, subpoints, etc. are separated by intervals “before” – 9, “after” – 6). 

3. For clarity it is recommended to separate formulas with upper and lower intervals, each approximating 6 pt.

4. Schemes should be laconic, clear and include minimal data necessary to illustrate the text of the article. 

Schemes title: Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 11, bold, indentless, text alignment – centre, intervals top – 6 pt

5. Article illustrations (charts, graphs, diagrams) should be performed halftone (vector) format (BMP, TIF, PCX, JPG, GIF, CDR) and attached as a separate file. MS WORD Graph Editor is not applicable!!!  Photos should have resolution not lower than 400 dpi and/or be attached to the original.

Illustrations re-scanned from periodicals or manually drawn are unacceptable!

Captions to illustrations: Times New Roman (Cyr), font size 11-12, bold, indentless, text alignment – centre.

 Illustration scripts should have Arial font style. 

Due to frequent hacker attacks, automatic registration on the site is disabled. If you would prefer to submit a paper, please contact the editorial office via email and ask to be registered.

The journal “Precarpathian Bulletin of Shevchenko Scientific Society. Word” adheres to a strict policy of protecting personal data and maintaining the confidentiality of all participants in the publication process.

Confidentiality of manuscripts

  • All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents.
  • Access is restricted to editors, reviewers, and technical staff directly involved in processing the material.
  • Manuscripts must not be shared with or discussed by third parties without the explicit permission of the authors.

Confidentiality of personal data

  • Personal information of authors (names, contact details, affiliations, etc.) is used solely for purposes related to the preparation and publication of materials.
  • The journal guarantees that this information will not be disclosed to third parties or used for commercial purposes.
  • All data are stored securely in electronic systems with restricted access.

Duties of editors and reviewers

  • Participants in the editorial process are obliged not to disclose any information they learn while working with manuscripts.
  • The use of ideas, data, or results from unpublished manuscripts in personal research without the written consent of the authors is strictly prohibited.

Transparency and accountability

The journal complies with international standards on data protection, including the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Any requests regarding the use or removal of personal data are handled promptly by the Editorial Office in line with legal requirements.
