INTERTEXTUAL PARADIGM OF ARTUR CONAN DOYLE’S “THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES” AND MYKOLA SAVCHUK’S “THE KOLOMYIA STORY OF SHERLOCK HOLMES”

Objective. The paper studies the intertextual connections between Arthur Conan Doyle’s “The Hound of the Baskervilles” and Mykola Savchuk’s “The Kolomyia Story of Sherlock Holmes”. Comparative observations are presented with regard to the poetics of “Sherlockiana.” Research Methods. The study employs a system of hermeneutic, structuralist, and comparative methods. The author relies on the research methodology of semiotics, narratology, and uses the methodology of literary cognitive science. This is due to the specific nature of the study, its subject and scope of study. Results. The paper identifies and summarizes the main forms of textual stylization and modification, including manifestations such as the “mask” of the narrator, imitative narrative situations, and ideostylistic paradigms. It also reveals structural and semiotic borrowings, as well as plot-related, figurative, and ideological contexts of the works.
