ABOUT ADVERSE REACTIONS AND VALUE CRITERIA "BENEFIT / RISK" WHEN USING DRUGS THAT AFFECT THE NERVOUS SYSTEM (according to reports, registered in Ivano-Frankivsk region during 2007-2012)

Analysis of 344 reports of adverse reactions to drugs that affect the nervous system, obtained by the regional office of the State Expert Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankovsk region during 2007-2012 was carried out by a number of parameters and found a causal link between the adverse reactions and the use of medicines according to qualitative methods recommended by WHO. Most of the posts (42%) concerned psycholeptic medications, and 17% were aesthetics and analgesics, 14% of cases occurred in the application Psychos, 5% were caused by antiepileptic drugs and another 5% – other means of affecting the nervous system. All these undesirable manifestations of pharmacotherapy are predictable, of which the majority (64%) – not serious and 36% severe, i.e., those that cause a threat to life or prolongs patient hospitalization. In 64.5% of cases of adverse reaction developed on the first day of the drug. Notification of adverse events were obtained from the medical institutions of different types, but as a whole only 30-43% of them warn about adverse events associated with the use of drugs, then the true picture of the problem we have is not the complete picture. When using drugs of this group should carefully consider the risks of adverse reactions to prevent them.
